Megan Fox still has a ride.
The Jennifer’s Body tart — who has complained publicly about working with Transformers director Michael Bay — will be back behind the wheel for Transformers 3.
Bay revealed on his blog that the sequel to 2009’s top-grosser will arrive in theatres on July 1, 2011 starring Fox and Shia LaBeouf.
After explaining he’s still deciding which new characters to include, Bay added, “P.S. Megan Fox, welcome back. I promise no alien robots will harm you in any way during the production of this motion picture. Please consult your Physician when working under my direction because some side effects can occur, such as mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, depression, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep. As some directors may be hazardous to your health, please consult your Doctor to determine if this is right for you.”
The announcement comes as somewhat of a surprise since earlier this summer, Bay insisted there would be no way he could churn out another Transformers before 2012. But that was before Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen grossed $400 million in North America alone.
The release pits Transformers 3 against such other high-profile blockbusters as Spider-Man 4, The Hangover 2, Pirates of the Caribbean: Of Stranger Tides, Cars 2, The Green Lantern, First Avenger: Captain America and Kung Fu Panda 2.
Meanwhile, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast 3D has been pushed back a year — from February 2010 to 2011 to coincide with the movie’s 20th anniversary.

Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are certainly fanning the gossip fires when it comes to reports they’re an item. The “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” co-stars (whose movie killed the competition with a $201 million five-day opening) sat side by side during a dinner with 10 pals — including director Oliver Stone — at Nobu on Thursday.
“They definitely seemed into each other,” says a witness, who told us that when Fox left at 10 p.m., LaBeouf followed hot on her heels. Another spy added that, while partying at a Rose’s bash in West Hollywood earlier in the week, “Shia couldn’t keep his eyes off of Megan: He literally watched her like a hawk all night.”

Back in May, rapper Cage dropped his Shia LaBeouf-directed video, “I Never Knew You,” which was the young actor’s debut as a music video director. But, there’s more to the story than just directing a music video for a friend.
Both have been friends for years, and Shia’s goal — in collaborating with Cage for a music video — isn’t about getting into the music world. It’s about making a movie … about Cage.
In an interview with MTV, the actor revealed that he’s been a fan of Cage for some time, and reached out to him over four years ago with a film idea.
“Like four years ago, I got in touch with him. It was super Hollywood, like an ‘I’ll have my people call your people’ type of thing. But his people really didn’t exist in the form of my people,” Shia laughed.
After that, he followed Cage on his Hell’s Winter Tour, and shot a bunch of footage, after which he felt Cage’s story would make a great movie.
“I came out during the Hell’s Winter Tour and started filming him on that tour for, like, weeks and weeks — almost two months. We just jumped around, city to city, and we became friends that way,” Shia explained. “Yes, I’m a fan, and I wanted to see him perform, but I’d always wanted to make a movie about him since forever. And so the plan was to take that Hell’s Winter footage and go pitch the movie.”
A reserved Cage feels a little shy about the whole thing, saying its strange to even think about it.
It’s really strange. I try not to think about it,” the rapper said in a recent interview with Decider.com. I don’t talk about myself in the third person, but I try to think about myself in third person when we’re talking about the Cage movie. I try to keep myself separated from it. There’s nothing worse than the first few years of getting restless; you just feel like an asshole thinking, ‘C’mon, when is this movie going to be made about me!’”
There’s not a time frame, or schedule for this project, but neither are worried. Shia plans to continue filming, and pitching the film, and says as Cage’s profile raises, it’ll be easier to get investors onboard.
However, he feels Cage’s story will sell the movie itself.
“I want them to know everything,” Shia explained of Cage’s story, which includes drug use, physical abuse and a stint in a mental institution. “If you could just picture getting handed the sh**tiest cards, over and over again, and having to play with them. When I listen to Cage’s music [no matter how bad things are], it’s like my life is not that bad.”
Shia LaBeouf’s movies have banked nearly a billion dollars in the past few years — so why does he need his mom to drive him around town?
The “Transformers” star rode alongside momma Shayna while running errands in L.A. The 22-year-old’s mom took the wheel because his driver’s license was suspended after his accident in July 2008 that shattered his hand — which is still in a cast.
LaBeouf can be seen on the big screen this summer in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” opposite Megan Fox.
Let’s hope Shia LaBeouf’s hand has healed – he’s going to need it to hail cabs for the next 12 months.
The “Indiana Jones” and “Transformers” actor has had his driver’s license suspended for one year in the wake of a July 2008 car crash, online sources reported yesterday. The accident left LaBeouf’s hand crushed, necessitating four hours of surgery.
The license suspension took effect on Jan. 17 because LaBeouf, 22, “refused a chemical test” after officers pulled him over, according to the California Department of Motor Vehicles. A Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman told The Associated Press in July that officers responding found it “immediately apparent” that LaBeouf was intoxicated, and he was booked for a misdemeanor DUI.
In September, the L.A. County district attorney’s office said there was insufficient evidence to charge him with drunken driving. Sheriff’s deputies later said that LaBeouf was not at fault.
Simon Herbert of Los Angeles, 21, was given a citation after his car failed to stop at a red light.
LaBeouf’s passenger, uninjured in the accident, was Isabel Lucas, who will appear beside him in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” due out on May 29.
“Transformers” director Michael Bay has said LaBeouf’s hand injury would be added to the script. “We’re figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it into the story,” he said at the time.
The license suspension was first reported by “Access Hollywood.” An e-mail to LaBeouf’s publicist was not immediately returned.
During filming I’ve got 75 military officers firing at me, shrapnel falling on my head that’s bigger than my arms. It’s hard to be normal”, stated the 22 year old LaBeouf, “You’re running past them, and your clearance is only about 10 feet. These dudes are moving, and if one trips or falls and we run into the muzzle of a blank, that could blow your chest open or burn you.
Despite an E! Online report claiming that Shia LaBeouf’s hand injury had turned into a more serious situation than expected, a source told Access Hollywood the actor is going ahead with a surgery that has been planned since September.
On Friday, E! Online reported that “Shia’s hand is totally shattered; it’s much worse than anyone thought.” The actor was forced to quit the upcoming thriller, “Dark Fields,” a source claimed.
Yet today, another source told Access that the actor is going ahead with the second hand surgery he needs as a result of his July 27 car crash, a surgery LaBeouf had talked about in September.
“It’s basically we propped it together so I could get through ‘Transformers’ and then I’ll go have another surgery and be back (to) 100 percent,” LaBeouf said.
Access’ source went on to say the recovery and rehabilitation time for the actor’s hand could take longer than his first surgery.
As previously reported on Access, LaBeouf was not charged with drunken driving for his involvement in the traffic accident that badly injured his hand. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County District Attorney said there was “insufficient evidence” to charge the actor.
Shia LaBeouf shies away from photographers as he walks arm-in-arm with his mother, Shayna Saide, in Burbank, Calif., on Thursday.
Shia’s mom must really like sheer clothing!
The 22-year-old actor has not yet publicly responded to Disney starlet’s Selena Gomez’s plea to have him as a guest star on her hit show, Wizards of Waverly Place.
Selena has said oh-so-desperately, “I’m, like, begging, but it’s not happening. I know I’m a nerd! Please, Shia, come on my show!”
Fans of Shia LaBeouf may not have to wait for Transformers 2 in 2009 to see their hero back-in-action. Sorta.
This Sunday, Fox will air it’s annual “Treehouse of Horror” episode of The Simpsons in which Bart gets a Christmas present that turns out to be a Transformer. As Bart’s alien battlebot attacks others, Marge is unable to stop them.
So who ya gonna turn to? Will Shia’s Sam Witwicky save the day?
Tune in to find out!
